Strange Leg Pain

Hi,
I've had leg pain just above the knee for the last few days.  I had a limp yesterday but it still hurts to the touch.  The area which is red is about 6" x 5" and is on the outer part of my leg.  I did just give a testosterone injection in that leg but higher up by 6" from the center of the pain.  I can't see any bug bites either.  I have been feeling rather ill as well.  Could this be something to worry about like a blood clot?

Thanks

Now the area itches.  Must be some weird allergy or something.

Oh,
Well, I've been putting off going to the doc but now feel a fever coming on along with incredible fatigue.  The pain has gotten better so I figured I was getting over it.

I would definately go to the Dr.  I was a nurse and this could be several different things.  Call in the a.m.and tell them and they should get you in same day.  If you notice any fever in it or red streaks from it go to an after hours tonight.
