Strange set of symptoms

by aazuri, Jul 14, 2009 06:32PM
My husband has a strange set of symptoms that have now happened 4 times in 4 years. It starts with joint pains in one side of the body (knees, hip, shoulders) and then about 12 hours later a throbbing severe headache for another 12 hours until a fever starts, lasting for a day along with the headache, fatigue (can't get out of bed with pain). Then after 12 hours the fever breaks, the headache subsides but then he is left with a stiff neck and severe stabbing pain in his back when he steps in just walking (pressing his heal to the ground with normal pressure). This lasts for about 3-4 days. His doctor is running more tests, Strep test came up negative and there are no other visible signs. I think this could be an immune issue, or maybe neurological. Please help!!
