Strange throat problem that will not go away

I had strep throat/ear infection for like 30 days. It took 3 rounds of antibiotics to kill. The problem is that even though i seem to be cured of strep and bn off the medication for 2 to 3 weeks my throat discomfort will not go away. I have swallowing issues that comes and goes, my throat does not hurt like a normal sore throat but some foods kinda burn a little going down. My throat feels somewhat tight as if your lympth nodes are a bit swallen but when a doctor feels it they do not see or feel any problems. I have lost a lot of wait due to no appetite. I can say that my right ear feels odd still, i do not think it is fully drained out. What in the world is making me feel sick like this? its been 2 to 3 weeks. I do not have acid reflux or swallen tonsels yet my throat feels tight and i am miserable. My temperture is somewhat normal. it fluxuates between 98.2 and 98.9. Also is there any OTC drugs to help my ear drain? I can not seem to figure out what my problem is but it seems to be tied to when i had strep.

A few years ago I had a throat issue where I had some pain swallowing for 3 months. It was never that severe but my thoat felt very odd - kind of like how you describe.

It was during the spring/early summer so I knew it couldn't be a cold.

I finally went to the doctor who prescribed me nasonex. Within two weeks I was fine.

Allergies were blocking everything up.

The trap I fell into is that I started to get obsessed about my throat and I would always be popping my ears, clearing it or opening it wide to look down there.

I think all of my fidgeting was making it worse. Once I knew I was being treated and nothing was seriously wrong with me I got better.

Ya. my throat feels fat and odd....I never had allergies tho. Does anyone know ny over the counter drugs that will help my ear drain? I suspect it can be my ear drainage irritating my throat, making it feel swallen and irritated.
