Sublingual Pain During Exercise

by Dampiera, Sep 22, 2008 01:38PM
I have had asthma for years, and it is often brought on by exercise.  Something that has ALWAYS made exercise uncomfortable for me though is significant pain in the area under my tongue.  It hurts from the connection point of my tongue all the way up to the gums (behind my lower teeth of course).  Generally speaking, this occurs most frequently when I'm running.  It is MORE frequent during cold weather, to the point that even a brisk walk will cause it and the pain is unbearable.  In these cases (cold weather) I also experience pain in my lungs as well.  This has been happening ever since gradeschool (I'm 32 now).

Has ANYONE heard of anything like this before?
