Swelling in feet,legs, and ankles

I am 50 years old, weight is approximately 100 lbs. Work at a very physical job (never get to sit), most weeks=seven days, 5 to 8 hours a day.
Like most Americans, can not afford insurance at this point in my life.
Just recently my feet, legs, and ankles have started to swell and do not seem to go down at night.
I am worried about what I can do to ease the pain, and make the swelling go down.

I know it might not be of much help but ibuprofen helps a lot with pain and reducing inflammation. My mother is a nurse and she always suggests that when something like this comes up. I hope that helps at least a little.

Hi there, I just wanted to say hi, I to have the very same problem, I don't work sadly because of my feet, I suffer badly from chronic daily headaches, fibromyalgia , and blood condition called Polycythaemia Vera( where I have to many red blood cells). I don't spend a lot of time on my feet, but when I do, boy do I pay for it that night, they swell in the heat, here in new Zealand, Chch we had a hot day yesterday, I went and seen a doc, he said sadly he couldn't offer and help to my problem, other than, stay off them and put them up. I am putting on the weight like nothing, I use to weight about 68 kg, now around 98 kgs mostly around the tummy, where it to is swollen i believe. Anyway I do hope you find some answers to your problem all the best. I hope you have a wonderful Xmas and happy new year.
