Swollen lymph nodes in neck

Hi!  I have posted before with various symptoms of fatigue, muscle joint aches and lymph node aches in the groin and under the arms.  I finally went to a rheumotologist who ruled out rheumatoid arthritis.  My blood work showed an elevated ANA 1:80 and my T4 was 11, a month ago it was 12.  Also a cat scan showed acute sinutitis and I am on an antibiotic, amoxil.  I had bronchitas and this showed up right after.  The Dr. has ordered a ultra sound of my thyroid and another T4 test for mid-december.  For the past 4 days I have had a very sore swollen gland/lymph nodes on the right of my neck and ache everywhere!  I am trying to work but am discouraged as I am a PE teacher!  I am and have been for years very tired!  My lymph nodexs under my arm and in my groin ache daily when I get tired.  I wake up and they are OK but by lunch they ache and I cannot literally keep my eyes open so I nap at lunch and someone wakes me to go teach.  After school, they are aching again and I nap until I force myself to get up to make supper.  After supper, the ache is worse so I nap again.  I do some work in the evening and end up with the acheing unbearable and go to bed.  This is a everyday pattern for me and now my neck is now constant!  Do I call the Dr or just wait until December?  I think she thinks it is in my head!  I am so tired of being tired and achy and need some advise!

I feel for you and know it is frustrating have been dealing with similar.  Although I don't have to or can't take naps during the day the first chance I have to sit still I fall asleep.  You are the first person I have seen or heard of who had the same symptoms, of the perfectly fine lymph nodes in the morning and swollen tender at night.  I keep going to the doctors (in the morning) and I think they think I am crazy.  However, during the routine exams the dr. found a suspect, not painful lymph node, which is enlarged and now he wants to biopsy, but I think it is always that size.  Not sure if some people just have some large, or those that become swollen then never really decrease in size.
Do your research on CFS.  My mother has had for about 15 years and I swear the drs. do not take her seriously.  She goes through really good times and really bad times.  I think there is nothing more frustrating when you are an "on the go" person and then start falling asleep sitting up.  Read about vitamins, I know they have been instrumental as well as daily mild aerobic excerise routine (seems to be best in the morning).

It sounds as if you are experiencing some of the same issues.  The Dr. never seems overly concerned about my lymph nodes but it is a constant weekly problem for me.  Yestaerday my lymph nodes were enlarged and ached under my arm and at the base of my head.  Today they are still bothering me and my groin has started to ache.  i teach PE all day and just have to keep napping.  I am having a thyroid ultrasound on the 12th and hope it shows something.  I do not want to have anything wrong but I also cannot deal with being so tired all the time.  Good luck and please let me know what you find out?

I have posted on other sites before. I had a routine sonogram of carotid afew weeks ago and cardiologist noticed a enlarged kymph node in left lobe of thyroid. sent me to ENT surgeon who sent me for a ultrasound of thyroid and they foundboth lobes of thyroid to be mildly enlarged and somewhat heterogeneous which I Don't know what this means and also in the left thyroid lobe subcentimeter nodules or cysts and a enlarged node 2cmx0.7x0.7 lateral to upper pole in left lobe. Don't know is this considered large but now the ENT surgeon is sending me for a needle biopsy. I said I can't feel anything enlarged in my neck . Dr. said its very deep I couldn't feel it. This morning I noticed an enlarged node in left armpit. I am starting to worry now. The only symptom I have is being somewhat tired and night sweats but not drenching ones. Please anyone give me your input please

Why are you not on thryoid medication.  Your T4 level is way off the charts as my sister has thyroid disease and is on meidcation.  The medicine completly changed her life.  She too at first went to a doctor who just kept monitoring her thryoid level functions.  She found a great endocrinologist that told her by all of her blood work she should have been on thryoid medicine for months.  Go get another opionion.  Wish you well.
