Temp was really low at my last check up. What does it mean?

My temp was taken at the last doctor's visit.  It was 84 degrees.  Why so low?

SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE DIDN'T CHECK UR TEMP RIGHT HONESTLY- THAT'S LIKE POST-MORTEM TEMP.  I'D CHECK IT MYSELF AND IF STILL ABNORMALLY LOW I'D PERSONALLY GO TO THE E.R. AND FAST-THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME AND I'M A RETIRED NURSE.:(

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Very low body temperature is caused by low Vit B12, diabetes and hypothyroidism. Recheck your temperature and see because 84 degree Farenheit is very low. It could have been a wrong reading. And if indeed it is so low adain, please rush to ER and get this evaluated immediately.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
