Throat problem

by C-brons, Jul 18, 2006 12:00AM
Lately I have been having a weird sensation in my throat.
It isnt sore or anything but if i put my head back it feels tender.
Also when I swallow I find it is a little harder and if im
eating bread or something and swallow I get a weird sensation
or tingle in my throat.

I started dipping about a month ago and have been doing it almost
every day. Also, I am taking this sports supplement (shows ingrediants here):

http://www.vpxsports.com/newweb/products/prod_detail.asp?cat=Diet/Energy%20and%20Rapid%20Fat%20Loss&id=26

IS either of these the cause? The redline says it may affect
the thyroid... I know I havent been dipping long enough for it
to be something like a throat cancer (I sure as hell hope not)
but am worried about this.

Advice? Ideas?

does the presure feel like its coming up from your throat.  If swallowing seems to be hard could be acid reflux check out the acid reflux boards on this site alot of good info there with symptoms.  Maybe go to md or possibly ear nose throat or gastro doctor good luck I don't think the vitamins would do it unless you notice this right after taking them then may be an allergy to the vitamins.

Honestly is sounds like thyroid to me - try to post on the thyroid forum...hope this helps.  I am having some of the same stuff going on right now myself and I have a nodule on my thyroid.  Experience has taught me that those "exercise/weight/sports supplements" are not good for you.  I would stop taking them, especially if it says that it could affect your thyroid.  And, by the way, I'm sure that dipping doesn't really help - but I can't say much, I was a smoker for lots of years!  Hope this helps.
