Thrush or just bacteria

by scaredjamie, Aug 02, 2009 03:07AM
I had those white spots on the back of my throat. Are these spots that occur during a soar throat always thrush or is it bacteria?
How can you tell the difference between thrush and bacteria in your throat?

Hi
Welcome to the forum!

The spots could be chancre sores, thrush or bacteria as in post nasal drip. Gargling and rinsing your throat can help get rid of the drip for some time. Thrush you cannot easily remove nor can chance sores (viral) be removed easily. Kindly consult your PCP. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining.
Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
