Thyroid Problem

I have been complaining to my PCP for years that my temp is off the wall. It fluctuates so much it's crazy. It can be 97 and I feel very hot and uncomfortable. It can be normal and I will have the shakes.
I had a thyroid biopsy 2 days ago and still witing for results but I was told it looks like about 60% chance of malignancy. Since then my temp has been all over the place but not above normal and I feel so hot it's unbearable. I have the windows open in mid winter and can't cool down. This is the very worst it has ever been and I am sure that it must have something to do with the biopsy. It's making me crazy.
Has anyone else ever had anything like this?

Hi,

In the case of thyroid hormone, temperature fluctuations are common. More so, if some surgery is undertaken which may tip the delicately balanced system of checks and balances of the hormone system.

Surgery may lead to the release of previously unreleased hormones.

This may be the reason of temp fluctuations.

As far as the biopsy is concerned, it can turn out either way, and it may still be controlable even if malignant.

Hope this helped a bit. let me know if you may need any other information.

How did your biopsy results turn out?  I stay hot, uncomfortable and sweaty all the time.  I had windows open in my house today.  70 degrees inside and 38 degrees out.  I drive my husband and kids nuts!  Doc's keep blowing me off, but I'm ready to pin them to the wall.
