So sorry for writing so much but thought I would include everything, as I am really worried about what is going on as don’t seem to be getting any answers.
It all started about a year and half ago when I started getting pains on my right side where my kidney lies. The pain would start when I drank alcohol. Saw the doctor and he said to not drink, which did stop the pain, but I had various tests done (blood, urineCalcium - urine Calcium urine test Chloride - urine Cortisol - urine Electrolytes - urine Glucose test - urine Hcg in urine Ketones - urine Kidney - blood and urine flow Lh urine test (home test) Ph urine test, x-ray, ultraUltra choice multivitamin/mineral Ultra choice multivitamin/mineral mature formula Ultra fresh Ultra fresh p.m. Ultra-natal sound, Endoscopy, and one where they eject dye and take pictures) and they all came out normalNormal saline flush. Also had an abdominal scan as well which came out fine. I don’t drink any alcohol no more but still get pains in my side and when I play football the pains get worse. Saw the urologist and he’s final say was that it was just muscularBecker's muscular dystrophy Duchenne muscular dystrophy Muscular dystrophy Muscular dystrophy - resources Few months after I noticed the pains in my side, I started getting chest pains and palpitationsHeart palpitations. Would get chest pains straight down the middle and then some on either side of the chest. Saw the doc and over the past year have had all the tests done (x-ray, blood, 24hr and 48hr tape monitor, running machine tests, ECGEcg Electrocardiogram (ecg) Exercise stress test Post myocardial infarction ecg wave tracings, blood pressure, cholesterol tests) which all came out fine and the final word on the matter was that it was probably just muscular, AGAIN, as everything was fine from the results. So that was he’s final diagnoses. Also from this my heartbeat on average is around 55 beats a minute, which the doc said, was fine from the exercise that I did and sometimes-even drops below 50, which he said was fine as well. But I told him that I only exercised 3 times a week and was not even strenuous. In the last few months my symptoms of my chest have got worse. For no I get attacks where my heart starts racing and pounding for no reason and feels like I am going to have a heart attack. About two months ago I had an attack from just laying on my bed and lasted for 3 days. In them days I was rushed to ER as couldn’t control my heart rate and I started to burn up. The tests came out normal and took a temp and that was fine as well. That was the third time I was rushed to ER! Have started to notice that I my leg, arm and cheek (all on the left side) starts to burn up for no reason and when that happens my heart starts pounding and feels extremely hot (even when it’s winter) and have to take a cold shower and have the windows open to cool down. Also from the last yr I noticed that when I drink alcohol, tea, coffee, coke my heart starts fluttering and feels like that I am anxious or scared for no reason. So have completely cut this out and has worked but the burning on the left side is getting worse and just feels like I am going to have another attack. Also had a food intolerance test done and that said that I was intolerance to alcohol, tea and wheat, which I have taken out of my diet but keep getting these attacks (this was taken out of my diet about 5months ago). I also had thrush, so got tested for every sexual disease and for Candida and that came out fine. When I do cardio now I get slight pains in my chest but not that bad. But when I do weights I start to burn up on the left side again and feels like I will have to stop that as well. I thought the food intolerance was the Key to all of this but even the doc said that if that was the case that it would have shown up from all the blood and urine test I have had. Also since I was about 16 I always getting constipation, even if I eat the rights foods (veg, fruit, bran) and when I am bloated causes pain in my sides. Also, if I go to sleep for an hr or so, I wake up with my heart pounding and feel really shaky and feel like ****. I get really awful sick feeling in my stomach when I start to burn up as well. I have researched everywhere and there are so many things that have the same symptoms as me but my doc keeps thinking that it’s in my head. Basically the following has happened in the last year
* Palpitations, racing heart beat, chest pains, pains in my right side, burning up on the left side, hair loss, extreme tiredness, can’t eat or drinks things because the effort they have, get sore muscles very easily even when I stretch properly. Get tingly sensations in my hands now again, when I am typing. Also find it hard to put on weight. Left leg below the knew is hurting for no reason and sometimes feels numb.
I am 27, I keep myself healthy and fit, stop drinking alcohol and quit smoking 2 and half yrs ago and this is all happening to me. I am meant to be getting married in 6 months and don’t know if I can with all this happening to me and is really scary as no one knows what is wrong with me. Heard that I might have an overactive gland somewhere but I don’t know. Also has a thyroid test done and came out fine. The main problem is my heart and chest and these attacks I am having for no reason at all. I am not stressed at all as everything is going for me apart from my health. All in all this has all happened in the last year and a half and symptoms are not improving after all the times I have been to the doctors.
Please could you help as I don’t know what to do or where to turn to as I have given up with my doc and I really can’t carry on feeling like this and these burning sensations on my left side is getting worse, especially down the lower half of my left leg, which I think also causes the heart palpitations and makes it race.
Have you had your B12 levels checked? Low levels can cause burning/pain sensations in the body. Also, you may want to have your adrenal gland hormones tested (cortisol). Also, a sex hormone panel may help.
You said you had thyroid testing done but make sure they've did the thyroid antibody testing (Tg and TPO antibodies).
Thanks for that Kelly. Will def look into getting these tests done. I think i am so concerned about my heart rate and why it starts to race for no reason. But def noticed that heat plays apart as i seem to just burn up so easily, all on the left side. Could excercise quite easily before and now i am afraid to do it as fear of how i will react afterwards. Just wondering why does alcohol, tea, coffee have affect with me as that makes me burn up and makes my heart race as well? What tests can be done regarding the sex hormone's that you mentioned?

You may not feel stressed but could still be. I had some of the symptoms you described. I got my heart checked which was fine and a lot of other tests, too many to name. Finally one of the doctors I went to told me it sounded like I was having anxiety attacks or panic attacks. When I would get one of those attacks I would feel this warm feeling pass over most of my body and my heart felt like it was gonna stop cause it was beating so fast. I would have to get outside to cool down and I would take deep breaths to calm my heart down. Sometimes that worked and other times it felt like it was getting worse. I started taking an antidepressent called paxil and it made all my symptoms go away. I didn't feel at all stressed and everything was going great in my life so I'm still not sure why I suffered with the attacks.
It may be anxiety attacks. They can feel very similar to heart attacks, or so I've heard. I 've had 1 anxiety attack in my life, and it was very scary. I got very weak, light headed, my heart rate was fluctuating. Maybe you have subconcious anxiety that you are not aware of. You might also try to get a second opinion from a diff. doctor.
Thanks for all your responses.
The doctor did say that it might be aniexty attacks but something doesn't fit. It's the burning up that is really bothering me as i really can't stand the heat now, and my left leg just starts to burn up and start having these palpitaions and even light excerise causes me to burn up and it's driving me mad of what it could be. I am meant to be getting married soon and am really worried because i am feeling all if this now and it's only Winter, and don't know how i am going to react when the summertime comes as that is when the wedding is and i don't know how i am going to react to the heat!??
hi all i know what you are going though method i have the same problems...but have not had a proper diagnosis yet i have palpitations ,shakye felling, feels like my legs are going to give out on me, burn up alot racing heart, very anxious for no reason, jittery, panicy, feels like a wierd vibration feeling over my adrenals-kidneys,cant handle stress, feel bad when i eat ,constipation,i did an at home hormon test and it showed very low levels of cortisol, very high testosterone, and very high levels of progesterone, had thyroid test done they are fine, upper gi they thought wads gerd but thats fine...trying to find a dr to test my adrenals and i know what you mean about the drs telling you it is all in your head but you know its not so just keep persusing it.
Thanks for you reply timber_wolf27. I know this horrible to say but finally i have met someone who i can relate to! I noticed about a year ago i got pains on the right side of where my kidney lies and just thinking i will def get my Cortisol checked out as this is worth looking into. My thyroid came out normal as well but the doc ONLY check for t3/t4 in the tests. I have ordered myself another thyroid test ( online ) which checks for TPO, which is something worth looking into. Even get your Vitamins checked out esp Vitamin B12, as i was low on this and has made a little improvement. I keep pursueing my doc now and telling him that i want to be tested for this and that as at the end of the day they want to tell you what they want to tell you, even though they are wrong.
Just wondering, could someone tell me what actually are the symptoms of an MS attack as i am a bit confused of what this is. I know what the symptoms are ( numbness, burning sensation ) but what is an attack?
I too am in league with method007 all symptoms coincide, with tests showing nothing seemingly wrong with my system yet! If anyone out there could suggest some of the likly causes the suggestions could help me remedy alleviate from my distress.
My heart beats about 55 per min but when i have these attacks they go well over 120! I have seen the cardiologist and can't find anything wrong at all, even thou it seems to be getting worse. Any ideas?
You said you had thyroid testing done but make sure they've did the thyroid antibody testing (Tg and TPO antibodies).
Kelly
Many thanks again
