Undiagnosed Symptoms

A parent I know has swollen hands constantly.  In the cold, they shrivel up and the warm weather, they swell even more.  She has had many, many tests and nothing was found.  It is difficult to make a fist.  She has no other problems internally or externally.  What should she consider to do next?

I can say that in the winter my hands turn purple, my rings swivel around my fingers. In the warm weather my hands swell, rings are tight, hands red and white blotches on my palms.(even after waking up in the a.m. with it.)

I was told years ago that I have reynaurds, that is a constriction problem with blood vessels in the hands.

I just wear my gloves in the winter and try to keep my hands up once in a while in the summer to reduce the swelling.
