Undiagnosed rib protrusion

I've been waiting years for an answer or diagnosis and received nothing. When I was roughly around 15 years old (I'm almost 24 now) I was sitting at my kitchen counter on the family computer when all of a sudden, the bottom of my left rib cage starts hurting; it was unlike any pain I have ever felt before. It hurt so bad that I had to lean over and put my face onto the counter. I couldn't talk and I was gasping for air. The only words I could get out to my younger brother was "MOM" and she rushed me to the hospital (about 30 minutes away) and by then the pain had subsided. The doctors did an ultrasound and saw nothing unusual and said there was nothing else they could do. To this day, the bottom of my left rib cage is protruding a good half inch to an inch farther out than my right. I get pain in that same area every so often but I'm still worried about what caused this or if it may have some kind of long term issues!! Any ideas?

Hello~

Yes, you need to see a chiropractor. You have a misplaced rib head and nothing is going to help until you get it put back in. I have that at times, but not as severe, a good treatment always helps it to feel better. The chiro will take an x-ray no doubt, and be able to tell you exactly what is wrong and how to fix it.

Hope you feel better.
God bless you.
