Unexplained Joint Pain??

Unexplained Joint Pain??

I have been experiencing mild - severe joint pain and muscle/joint stiffness for the last 2 months, and it keeps getting worse.
I have seen a doctor at a wellness clinic inside my employers office building. She was no help. She ran blood work and said I was negative for a Rheumetoid factor, and negative ABA test. She said overally I am very healthy.  The only thing she found was I am anemic, and I have a low grade fever. She gave me a pat on the head and said take Prednisone for a week and it should knock out the pain. Well it did nothing. I have also tried tylenol, ibprophen, tylenol 3, aleve. Nothing works for the pain.
If anyone else has experienced this, and eventually found some relief let me know!!!

I have joint pain in my hands, wrists, elbows. Stiffness/muscle pain in my forearms. ( this is the worst/ most painful)
I also have pain in my ankles, feet, and muscle pain/ stiffness in and around my ankle/calf area
I also have clicking and popping sounds in my Jaw, elbows, knuckles, ankles and neck
I periodically get shoulder, back, neck and knee pain, when I am having one of my "BAD DAYS"
I have NO SWELLING inflammation/reddness. Just pain
I also have bad headaches ( temple)  in the afternoon, accompanied with excruciating ear pain.

I dont know what else to do? I can barely manage my life with my kids and work anymore. I am at my wits end. Any ideas of what may be wrong? I am going to see a better doctor in about 2 weeks. Please advise on what I should tell her. I dont want to get just another pat on the head and some tylenol.

If anyone ehas had these same problems, and eventaually figure out what was wrong let me know. Also let me know what types of medications work, so I know what to ask for. Thanks!!!

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
I know it is tough to live with pain. Unexplained pains, sometimes the bones paining and sometimes the muscles can be due to a problem called ‘fibromyalgia’. This is associated with fatigue and “a heightened and painful response to gentle touch (allodynia). Other symptoms include  needle-like tingling of the skin, nerve pain, muscle aches and spasms, weakness in the limbs, functional bowel disturbances, and chronic sleep disturbances. Although fibromyalgia usually presents with chronic widespread pain, pain may also be localized in areas such as the shoulders, neck, low back, hips, or other areas.
Apart from fibromyalgia multiple joint pain is seen in hypothyroidism, low Vitamin D levels, Low Vit B12 levels, anemia, Hasimotos thyroiditis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, SLE, electrolyte disturbance particularly those involving calcium and magnesium, parathyroid gland problems, chondrocalcinosis and chronic fatigue syndrome. Please talk to your doctor regarding these and get yourself examined accordingly.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
