Upper left rib cage prodruding causing discomfort and breathing difficulty

This has been a problem for years... It feels like there is something under my ribs on my left side below my heart causing my ribs to protrude out greatly. It causes me great discomfort often but causes me severe pain if i twist my body to the left. Its been over 5 years since the swelling first occurred which was so severe that i thought my ribs were going to crack, but since then the swelling has reduced to only the front of my left ribcage. Im now noticing that it is affecting my breathing severely. Any slice touch to my left ribcage affects my ability to breathe correctly. I struggle to get a deep breath and im constantly fighting for that deep breath until whatever pressure is against my left side is removed. I need help, has anyone experienced this problem beside me? Ive also notice that right above the protruding ribs on the outside of my body just below my breast it is numb and feels completely different from under my right breast. The sensation i have in my left breast when touched is completely different from my right breast. I dont know if everything ties in together but its all in the same collective area. Please help me get some answers.
