It is now the end of January. All my symptoms subsided within a day or two, yet I still have a slight lingering sore throat and swollen glands in the neck. Every once in a while, I will have a pain in my ears for a second or two that immediately subsides. I cough up a small amount of colored mucus each morning, but my throat is not at the point where it pains me to swallow, speak, cough, etc. My head and breathing are clear.
I am going to be purchasing a dehumidifier today, as someone informed me that a sore throat without additional symptoms could be the result of dry air. I am also a mouth breather while I sleep. The swollen tonsils and mucus, however, concern me a little because my body has always been able to fight off infection, and I have always been a very healthy individual. Also, the fact that these symptoms have been lingering from a sickness lead me to believe that it is not caused by dry air. Any thoughts/suggestions/diagnoses would be appreciated. Thanks.
