Very painfull swollen legs, ankles and feet

I am not sure what is going on. Monday when I woke up my legs were very sore. I just thought it was because I over did it on the weekend. Last night I noticed that I could not see my ankles because they are so swollen. Today is very painful, my legs, knees, ankles and feet are very swollen and painful, what should I do? Could this be serious? It is very hard to even walk at this point. Thanks.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS YOU . BOY MY ANKLES WERESO SWOLLEN I COULD BARELY WALK MY LEGS WERE LIKE BALLOWNS READY TO BURST. FORTUNATELY FOR ME I KNEW THE REASON. I HAD BEEN GIVEN A BLOOD PRESSURE MEDICATION THAT DID'NT AGREE WITH ME. AS SOON AS I WAS TAKEN OF THE SWELLING SUBSIDED.HOPE YOUR SOLUTION IS AS EASY AS MINE WAS BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO SEE A DR. SWELLING IS SERIOUS AND CAN AFFECT YOUR HEART AND KIDNEYS. IF THATS THE CASE IT MAY BE AS SIMPLE AS A WATER PILL. OR SODIUM REDUCTION. GOOD LUCK. KEEP IN TOUCH.

thanks for your post! i made a doctors appt. for tomorrow, i cannot even go anywhere the pain is so bad, i will keep you posted as to what the doctor says!!
