Weird Pain

Hello! Thanks for reading this:

I was in an accident a few years ago (3 years to be exact) and I had Grade 2 Whiplash and something else (sorry my memory is terrible). I've been visiting my neurologist since the accident, but I have moments in between where it becomes too expensive.

This is my problem: The last time I was there, I went because I was losing feeling in my legs, and my entire left side is compensating for my right half of my body. He gave me Clonixinato de Lisina for the pain and some other medication. I'm pointing that one out particularly for a reason.

If I ever missed the medication, I'd end up in some serious muscle pain. my entire back, my shoulders, my arms, and even my face would hurt. Hurt to touch, move or anything like that.

It's been a couple months since then, and I recently got a lung virus. My doctor [general] gave me a prescription for some medication, one of which is Prenisone [ I point this one out because I notice it's used for patients with arthritis].

I'm suffering the same kind of muscle pain now.

This isn't the first time. There have been a few times before, where if I take pain killers or any kind of muscle relaxant, I'd suffer this extreme pain for a week or so until it wears off.

Is there a reason for this? Should I avoid pain killers? I have no clue how to deal with this pain aside from taking more pain killers and I really don't want to be hooked on pills.

Thanks for the assistance!
