What could this be....

For around six to eights weeks now I have been feeling rather horrible...

It started off with nausea, to the point where I cannot even do my dog's dinner anymore because once it has made me vomit and after that got the feeling like I was going to so my husband has to do it now.... certain foods I love I cannot eat anymore... only a couple of meals I still enjoy and can eat them over and over again (something I never do and my husband is sick of lol).  I HAVE to eat breakfast or I feel ill (never eat breakfast - bad I know but always been unable to cause I feel ill if I do), like I am going to pass out.

To top it off, constantly have a low grade fever, think its cold when its not, hot when its actually cold and my husband can feel have a temperature when touches my head...

I need to go to the bathroom to pee a fair bit but have had a weak bladder since diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy a couple of years back so likely its just part of that

And yeah, just feeling generally off and sooooo tired :(  Get home from work at 6.20pm and all I want to do is sleep!

On a side note... I did have a suspected kidney/bladder infection about ten weeks ago, took keflex antibiotics for that (and came down with gastro the day after I saw my doctor, the joys!!!)

I have done two home pregnancy tests to rule that out  (because my last period was only a day long as opposed to four days but figured must be because I was ill around that time) and they have come up negative...

Any suggestions anyone? Could it just be IGA related?  Could I have some sort of infection?  Would great appreciate any advice. Going to go and see the doctor today but have no idea what she should look for and it never hurts to get a couple of opinions.

Thank you for that.  My doctor has done blood tests and urine to check for infection, kidney function, pregnancy on the off chance and apparently my blood pressure is high which she thinks may be part of my problem.  Because of the IGA and the protein and blood I have regularly in the urine she is concerned with the readings she got and has referred me to both a dietician and physio in attempt to help me lose 10 kgs (which would put me back in the healthy weight range) and see if that helps.  Have to see her in a few days to go over the blood and urine results.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Take a beta HCG test in blood as this is more confirmatory of pregnancy. Repeat after one week. A rising level of HCG confirms pregnancy.
Other than this it could be due to liver or kidney infection and maybe due to PCOD. Hence you need to get tested for all three.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
