I am so sorry to hear about all your health issues. Have you been tested for Lyme disease and parasites? Lyme disease can cause all of the symptoms that you have, and sadly its not usually something that doctors regularly check for. I had a lot of crazy symptoms and I ended up having undiagnosed and untreated lyme disease.
keep us updated and hang in there!
Glad to know that you are being referred to specialists.
As you have had a lot of antibiotics is it highly likely that you have fungal infections. Antibacterial creams will not work on skin conditions that are caused by fungus. You would need specific creams to treat fungal infections. Some creams may be an antifungal and an antibacterial combined. Antifungal medications can also be prescribed that are taken by mouth, but these can cause liver and kidney problems if used long term.
Try and have a nice Xmas despite all your ill health and I also wish you a better and healthier New Year.
Do keep us posted with regard how you get on.
Best wishes.
Thanks for the help guys! I have been referred to a few specialists. Instead of a pediatrician, I'll begin to see a family medicine doctor. My first appointment is tomorrow! I do always wipe front to back, I am not sexually active. My doctor has prescribed some bacterial creams that didn't work down there. In fact I think it made it worse as I began to form cysts soon after. Or perhaps it was coincidence. I know it is not a food allergy as I have already been tested for that. I've been experiencing all this my whole life so they tested me for a food allergy. I am allergic to wheat but since then have stayed away from wheat very well. I have not eaten a bite if wheat since! But the symptoms persist. I will take the advice on having the doctor do some of those tests you suggested tomorrow. Thank you guys very much!
The doctor should refer you to a rheumatologist and a dermatologist. Also, if you have not already had them done, the doctor should arrange for you to get blood tests done to rule out diabetes and also arrange a blood test for your kidney and liver function.
Having itchy skin can be from external issues, like allergies to food and things that you come into contact with (soaps, make ups, washing detergents etc). The skin can also itch from conditions like diabetes and liver problems. Hence having a blood test to check for that. The doctor may refer you for a glucose test, but having an HBA1C blood test will show your average blood sugars in your blood stream over a period of 3 months.
With the sweaty and smelly skin in between your breasts, indicates that you have some type of infection caused by one or more bacteria and possibly a fungal one. Your doctor can take swabs of your skin to send to the laboratory to analyse what is on your skin. You do not have to wait for a referral to the dermatologist to get a skin swab done.
Have you been checked out for any parasites, lupus? Just a thought
Don't allow your doctor to leave things as they are, do keep going back to him and ask for a referral to the specialists that I have suggested for a start.
If the skin swab results do come back that you have a fungal problem, there are medications that the doctor can prescribe you for this that are taken by mouth. You may have to be on them for a few months before the skin problem settles down. In the meantime do not use normal soaps or shower gels. Only use soaps that have the same pH level as our skin. Baby bath solutions should be fine. If you notice white patches inside your mouth that can indicate oral thrush and as you have been on a lot of antibiotics it is highly likely that you have a fungal problem. Fungal problems can cause soreness on the skin, especially in the folds of skin, like your breasts and thighs. You may also notice itching with or without a white discharge in your vaginal area. Natural set yogurt applied to the cleaned skin is a good home remedy against fungal infections. There are no side effects from applying yogurt and you can do this for as long as you need. Eating natural set yogurt will also help to restore the good flora in your gut that will have been destroyed by all those antibiotics that you have been on.
The doctor can prescribe much stronger antifungal medications for you than the ones you can buy from the pharmacy. You may require the capsules to be taken by mouth as well as antifungal creams to apply to your skin.
Your doctor can also prescribe for you antimicrobial bath solutions and creams to use instead of soap. You can also bathe with Epsom Salts in your bath water with some of the antimicrobial bath solution and some baby oil. The Epsom Salts contain magnesium which is absorbed into your body through your skin and also neutralises the skin pH levels. The reason for a squirt of baby oil, is because the Epsom Salts dry the skin.
When you wipe yourself after using the toilet, always wipe from front to back, to avoid getting any bacteria into your urethra (your pee tube). If you are sexually active, always go and empty your bladder immediately after having sex and wash as soon as you can afterwards. Don't allow anyone to touch you with dirty hands.
As you are having digestive problems with constipation and diarrhea and other gastric issues, has your doctor considered referring you to a specialist for that? Just a thought.
With the calf bone pain, if you have not mentioned this to your doctor, then you should. The doctor can listen to the veins in your leg and also arrange blood test called a Dopper Test to be taken to make sure that you do not have any deep vein thrombosis.
I presume that your doctor has examined your blood pressure. High or low blood pressure can cause headaches as can other problems. As you have been complaining of bone and neck problems, it may be that your headaches are stemming from problems in the neck. Your doctor can arrange for you to have imaging (xrays, scans) to find out if there is any problems with your spine.
Headaches can also happen from allergies to food and also by not drinking enough liquids. Make sure that you have a healthy and well balanced diet with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, etc. Cut down or cut out processed and sugar foods, like white bread, cakes, biscuits, tinned foods. Cut out or cut down on fizzy drinks. Drink more water. Being dehydrated can also give you headaches and is also no good for your joints regardless which arthritic condition you have.
Let us know how you get on.
Hi LeslieNicole. I'm sorry about all your suffering.
You need to rule out Candida and Leaky Gut Syndrome.
Look up "Saliva test for Candida" for a self-test as a screen. Not diagnostic, just a screen.
For the Leaky Gut you need a simple urine test called PEG.
Also you need to have any underlying hormonal imbalances checked out thouroughly by an endocrinologist.
I hope this helps.
