Is it painful or red? or warm to the touch? does it look like a mole? and did it just appear recently? and also is it still growing? if so i would for sure have that looked at, never know what it could be. always be suspicious of new bumps that appear on your body, never hurts to get it looked at. Good luck and let me know how things go. Sincerely, Elizabeth

Could this be a cyst of some sort that you are describing?  I have had a sebaceous cyst near the top of my head for years, and have had it removed and biopsied only to learn that it was merely a cyst.  I understand that these specific cysts can grow anywhere, especially where there are hair follicles.  Is this bump that you describe discoloured or growing?  If so, you should have it checked out to rule out anything that could cause you problems in the future.  One additional thing I can think of, my doctor once told me if the bump hurts, it's likely to be benign (not dangerous, and probably just a fluid filled cyst).  If it doesn't hurt, he would have been more suspicious and wanted to do further testing.  If you would like to answer me back, please send me a direct message, as I don't follow this thread.

In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly.

Sincerely,
