What is happening to my dad?

My dad, who is 61 has been having seizure-like episodes for almost 2 years now. Other stuff happens when he has one of these episodes. The left side of his face droops. He can't speak. His head twitches. Sometimes all his limbs will get rigid and he can't move. His left side gets weak and really starts to hurt him. Sometimes during these episodes he stops breathing and has to be told to breathe. Sometimes he can feel them coming on and other times he can't. Also sometimes he can remember that they happened and other times he can't. All these things just started suddenly and the only thing that varies is the length of time between episodes. He can go anywhere from having 6-8 a week to 1 every few months. He's had all types of workups and tests done but no one can tell us what it is. They've put him on seizure meds...they didn't help. He's been on all kinds of different medications and nothing has helped. I hope someone out there can help us.

Hello~

I am so sorry your dad is having these issues. I highly suggest seeing a chiropractor, he may have some pinched vertebrae in his neck, sometimes when this is the case, unexplainable seizures can occur. He/she will take an x-ray of the neck and be able to determine almost immediately if this is the case, a few adjustments should help a great deal.

I hope he gets better.
