I had a very mild case of shingles once. It followed my nerveNerve biopsy Nerve conduction velocity track around my chest and to my back. I have however heard of shingles in the central nervous system that are wide spread. Mine were tiny little clusters of blisters that itched and stung. There are anit-viral meds that can be prescribed for this. She should see a doctor.
Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Rash all over the body can be urticaria. Urticaria is usually triggered by allergens, such as drugs, foods, insect bites, inhaled substances, in response to sunlight, cold, heat, stress, exercise, or a viral infection. Other common allergens are pollen, mold, dust, pet dander, or cosmetics. All these rashes itch. Painful rash is usually seen in shingles. If multiple nerve paths are involved it may look like a generalized rash.
Please discuss these possibilities with a skin specialist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
