Why can't the doctors find a problem

For the last couple of week, I went to the ER 2x  cause I thought I was going to die.

This is what's happening.

- sometimes poking in my chest (heart area)
- sometimea sharp poke/pain in my chest (heart area)
- continues pressure on my chest (heart area)
- Stomach feels funny, like I am nervous or butterflies.
- Feeling hyper, like everything feels funny, nervous feeling.  don't know how to explain it.
- Feeling shakey.

Doctors are unable to find anything.   EKG and tons of other tests are fine.
I'm at a loss

If it helps you I had the same exact symptoms, and had in the past suffered with anxiety and panic disorders but this feeling was different.  It ended up being Acid Reflux.  Don't sit or slouch or lay down 2-3 hrs after eating a large meal. See if it helps.  You said you feel it when you sit on the couch, how long ago did you eat before you felt this?  I had an endoscopy done it's painless, they knock you out with that crazy michael jackson stuff for 10-15 mins depending on if they need biopsies of the lining of your stomach, stick a smal little tub with a light down and check your esophogus, stomach and deondenum (spelling?), then they can also check the beginning of your wind pipe like your vocal cords.

I'd give it a shot, though costly! so make sure you have good insurance!

The heart and breathing symptoms you described, along with feeling like you're going to die, are classic symptoms of a panic attack. I suffer same as you and get the exact same symptons. I found out in Feb that I was going to need open heart surgery and I believe that stress triggered my attacks. Now I keep .25mg Xanax on hand since I still have attacks here and there even though surgery was in July. I had an attack last week and one minute it was very, very bad and in an instant I went back to feeling normal. Just keep telling yourself that it will pass, but seek a doctor for help tailored to fit you specifically.  Best of luck!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Your symptoms could be due to a bad case of anxiety and panic disorder since EKG is fine. However you must also get thyroid function and diabetes status checked. It can also be due to severe anemia. Other possibility is acidity with reflux or even hiatal hernia. Raise head end of bed. Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. Walking around also helps clear gas. I would strongly recommend you to see a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system) if these tips help you. It can also be food intolerance. I suggest you clock in what you eat everyday and the appearance of symptoms and see if there is a correlation with any one type of food.
Hope this helps. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind. Take care!

Hi.
Just reading your post, i would strongly suggest having your thyroid tested.
These could be the symptoms for an overactive thyroid.

Also can i ask have you had an ECG done regarding your chest symptoms?

Your symptoms sound typical of an overactive thyroid to me

Hope this helps.

Now that you have the information, it is time we will not permit this in America.  Start writing the FDA.  Our babies and our generations are being poisoned.  Are we just going to sit around and complain?

Look at all of your symptoms...doesn't that sound like poison?  Read (google) a PDF file from Dr. Jacques Diouf, Director-General Food and Agriculture of Organisation (Organization) (FAO) of the United Nations/what's your poison?  Then ask all the questions.

If it's something to do with  anxiety, depression, or simply stress.
I wonder from what. cause as far as I know nothing happened.
it just happens, when I just sitting on the couch.

it usually starts with a pain, cramp  or poke in my chest / heart area.
followed by a little bit sweat / tingly feeling.
sweat goes away, but then everything else is acting up..  stomach / nervous feeling
Started this morning again @ 7 am  till 2 pm so far..  I'm still having it.
and this is almost happening every day..

This sounds like anxiety, depression, or simply stress. Has anything in the past few weeks/months changed or happened that would be stressful on you? When your emotions or feelings change from a happy state to a completely different and unusually unhappy state it will effect your body. This has to do with your nervous system. The paint in your chest can be from panic. Yes, it is possible to not notice when your body if panicking. Same goes for your stomach, that can just simply be nervousness. If you need further assistance I would try speaking to someone experienced in the physiological field. I'm not saying your crazy, but many doctors are unable to detect when someone is having an anxiety attack or panic attack due to stress. This would require speaking to someone that can take your symptoms and apply them to causes having to do with your nerves, and your mind. Try seeing a physiologist, if you are uncomfortable, go back to the ER and let them know that you think it can be anxiety. Panic attacks can last more than a day, they can last for weeks and go unnoticed.
