Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Menstrual cycle can delay by 7-10 days once in a while for no reason. In your case the reason could be losing weight too. If the cycle does not start in another 2-3 days, consult a doctor. Other causes of delayed periods are stress whether emotional or physical, hypothyroidism, polycystic disease of the ovary, pituitary tumors secreting prolactin, anemia and poor diet, unexplained or sudden weight gain or weight loss (quite likely in your case).
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
