Why is my

I have had my period for 3 years now but somtimes it just is regular after having it for a year it was 2 mounths late then a few mounths ago my period had just ended and like 2 days later it started again and now it is 2 weeks late. Why does my period do this and what could be causing it to be late??? I know I'm not pregnet because I am virgen so that's out of the question. Also for the first year when I had I had it was every 35 days instead of every 28 days and I usualy get a lower back pain that sometimes is escrushiating. Somtimes I hurts so much all I can do is lie on the floor on my stumic and wait for it to go away. For a whyle it was getting worse every mounth. And I usto only get it on the first day but latly I get it a week befor and up until the 3rd or 4rth day. My perod lasts 5 days. Why is this??? Though my main question is why is my period so unusual??? Usualy it's reguslar but I get a few times were it's not. Why is this???

I do not smoke I am not obeise (I am 5 foot 10 and 149lbs) and I don't do drugs. How ever in the last year I have been stressed do to the loss of my brother and family trouble. But that dosent explain the time it was 2 months late!!! I am on a medication that I have been on since 2007 or 2008 for my ADD though I forget to take it alot during the summer! Could this be connected to me feeling lighte headed alot??? One time when getting out of the bathtub I stood up to fast and I actualy fainted I think. And last year when I stood up to fast my legs shook. I also get really bad head aches somtimes. Like a mounth or so ago it started in the back right side of my head felt like somthing was jabbing into my head then it moved to the right side of my head and my right ear and me ear became itchy. Then it moved to the right side of my throught and it felt like the right side of my throught was being sqeezed shut! Then the  left side of the back of my head felt like somthing was jabbing into it for it minute then it felt like the right side of my face was asleep then my nose felt dry and as if it were burning or stinging then I fell asleep and it was fine by morning. Or Is it connected to how a month or so ago it hurt to breath??? It hurt in my throught felt like the left side of my throat was being speeded shut and as of somthing on the right side of my throat at the too was being pulled. I don't know if any of this is connected. I should also probably mention I have been trying to lose weight since late May or early June. I have lost 6lbs and only have 16lbs to go but once again that wouldent explain the time when my period was 2 mounths late or anything els befor I started trying to lose weight
also in febuary I was at swim meat and my neck began to hurt it was like a slow pulsing pain it started on the right side of the back of my neck but moved it's way up to the right side of the back of my head. It felt like somthing was jabbing into my head. It started hurting on the left side of my neck to. It dident hurt when I was in the water and stoped all together when I out ice on it. It hurt so much I couldent move. I'm not sire though if that was caused by me jolting my neck back many times a day because I always get shivers down my neck and that's the only way to get rid of them. Though somtimes when I do that it feels like somthing is rolling in my neck!!!

Sorry if I'm all over the place I just want to know if any of this is connected???

your body may still be adjusting to having a period it could take a little while to get regulated and sometimes stress can cause it to be abnormal or even if your athletic can cause it to be abnormal as well as eating habits like if you have malnutrition

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
I am glad you brought this up. High level of stress, dramatic changes in your life style, high cholesterol, hormonal imbalance as seen in thyroid problems and PCOS, chain smoking, may be some of the common causes of your irregular periods. Cushing’s disease and disorders of adrenal gland, tumors of the ovaries and adrenals, insulin resistance and obesity are some of the other factors. Prolonged use of oral contraceptive pills is another cause. Other important local causes of irregular periods are PCOS and fibroid uterus. PCOS causes cysts to form on the ovaries, interfering with regular ovulation. Diagnosis is by blood tests like blood insulin levels, serum testosterone and androgen levels and by ultrasound. I sincerely advice you to consult a gynecologist and get it evaluated.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
