Work Office Building Causes Motion Sickness

I work in corporate sales, and travel between different offices.  I can confirm when I go to the office, the vibration of the office buildings make my body tingle, and I get "spaced out".  Its the vibration from the buildings that make me "sick".

I'm fine when I'm not at the office, as I work from home as well.  So to the office,

I've been diagnosed with superior canal dehiscence syndrome.  However I don't have hearing loss issues.  My MRI / CT did show my bone is extremely thin around one side of my ear.

Has anybody felt anything similar?  Where can I go, suggestions of how to resolve this or what Dr to see?

That is very interesting.

I am going to make a suggestion.

Obtain fresh ginger, slice it and prepare steeped ginger tea. About ten minutes in the cup.

This is an old remedy for sea-sickness, but it works to calm down many inner ear disturbances.

The exact specialty for this would be an otoneurologist and presence of hearing loss is not one of the diagnostic criteria for SCD, which happens to be a rare condition and don't be surprised, should you not get many members diagnosed with SCD, responding here.

Of interest to you might be the following article in regards to treatment:

"Transmastoid middle fossa craniotomy repair of superior semicircular canal dehiscence using a soft tissue graft".

My personal view on craniotomy, the established form of treatment, is that a very careful risk-benefit analysis must be seriously considered and in cases, where the severity of SCD is not intense, alternate symptom management options should be explored.

I hope this helps, however, my comments and suggestions are not intended to replace medical advice.

Best wishes.
Niko
