Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It could be food poisoning or viral flu. Let him follow the following: Take an OTC lactobacillus preparation with meals. Drink plenty of fluids (lemonade, soups, herbal tea, water). Eat light, do not stay hungry but eat simple things like toast, porridge, cereals, crackers etc. Take ORS. Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). Keep fever down by sponging and anti fever medication. Watch out for a day or two with this treatment.
If this does not help, please consult a doctor immediately, maybe go to ER if that’s the fastest way. Take care!

A fever is a sign of infection, usually although with a virus you can run a low-grade fever.
If he throwing up & has a fever there is a chance he can get dehydrated so make sure he drinks plenty of water, juice, whatever you can get him to drink. It sounds like a stomach virus, but watch that fever, treat with advil or ibuprofen, unless he can't take it. If he isn't feeling better in a couple days, have him seen by a doctor.(if you can convinence him)
Good luck Megan
