Yeast infection

by Lola828, Nov 03, 2009 06:26PM
I was on antibiotics before contracting a yeast infection. I tried Monistat 3 twice before finally going to the doctor. She prescribed me two dosages of an oral pill to prevent yeast infections. I am still experiencing some burning and itching sensations at certain parts of the day. Could I still have the yeast infection?

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Yeast infection is at times very difficult to treat. You may need to take oral antifungal pills twice a week for 3-4 weeks along with local application of antifungal cream. At times both partners need to be treated. Discuss this with your gynecologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
