In april of this year i had my appendix removed and then 2 weeks later i had my gall bladder removed due to alot of pain in my upper right abdomen. After having the surgery i would still get slight pain and recently i have started getting alot of pain again it sometimes moved to my back but is mainly in the front. It hurts alot and the doctors dont seem to know what it is. The only time that it definatly comes on is when i drink alcohol, but it will come when i havent consumed any in weeks. I would really apprechiate some advice.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
There is a chance that following two surgeries (even if they were laparotomies), you have developed adhesions in the abdomen. These cannot be caught by any imaging techniques. Adhesions can be taken care of by laprotomy and cutting the adhesions. The other possibility is endometriosis. PCOS too can be a cause. If there is a bowel abnormality, then the pain can be due to IBS or gluten intolerance or Crohn’s disease or lactose intolerance. Discuss these possibilities with your doctor.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Yes, adhesions can be diagnosed only by laparotomy. PCOS is polycystic disease of the ovary. Take care!

Heya, since i fist posted this question i have been in hospital twice, first time they did an ultrasound, MRI and endoscopy they sent me home to come back in 5 days for an ERCP. The second was a month ago as i had pancreatitis which was bought on by the ERCP which had been performed the same day and i was in hospital for 9 days, when leaving the hospital i was still in some pain but they said my bloods had all gone back to normal and the pain would just ease away. Since then the pain has been getting alot worse and i have been vomiting, i went to my GP's and they took some bloods and she said the levels were up again, so she did another blood test a week later to see if they were going down or up now, i am still awaiting the results of this test as my doctor is on holiday. Im wanting to know really could the pancreatitis be coming back but just a milder case? I would really apprechiate some help with this as its worrying me and the pain is gettin a little un-bearable but i just hate being in hospital.
