abnormal EMG, SEP and pain please help

I have had constant head, neck and eye pain for over a year. I was forced to drop out of school/work.

Abnormal EMG of arm, abnormal SEP (evoked potentials) test, and MRI of cerivical spine showed fluid outside of spine and some inflammation

I am also starting to have arthritis in my hands and I am only 19.

Please help.

I will for sure let you know! I see an NS in a week. I have had this headache/neck pain for over a year now, completely out of school and work. There wasn't a day in 2008 where my head didn't hurt. My 2nd cousin is actually a doctor and he just heard of what is going on with me and he told me to have all of my records sent to him right away so he can view them too. I thought that was so nice of him! Anyways, I will let you know what his opinion is too. I am just curious, have you had any EMGs or SEP evoked potential tests?

Thanks for sharing the medical issues you been having.I have had some similar issue as you such as fluid along my cervical spine.  So far I haven't found any answers, just have found who isn't figuring out what it isn't.
I am very interested in what you find out.  Please come back online and share.
I just might be able to benefit medically from what you share.

Thanks

Thank you very much. The collection of fluid is in the cervical spine and it is outside of the spine, not in it. I am seeing a neurosurgeon soon, so hopefully he can give some input to the situation as well.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Thanks for keeping me posted!

Collection of fluid in and around the spine or spinal edema can be due to infection, injury, tucerculosis and cancer. It could also be a degenerative disorder of the spine. The exact location of the fluid, whether inside the dura or outside it is important to reach a diagnosis. The evoked potentials are abnormal as this fluid and inflammation is causing pressure on the nerves.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Your neurologist will be able to help you better. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
