after the dr visit

After going to the dr.s last week, he told me that the temperatures of 99+ i was running everyday were normal. These fevers have been going on for over a month now.   I ought to know what a fever feels like, after all, i have lived in this body for 49 years.  My head spins and rings.......and I am light headed and nauseaus.  He perscribed an anti nausea medication, big deal........is that gonna cure me?  No, it isn't.   So what is this.........I wake up feeling fine...........by evening I am sick to my stomach and running the fever again.  Everyday, its the same old thing.  I fired my dr.  What right does he have to tell I am not sick when I am.  He said Im not running a fever, I am, what gives him the right to question me.  Why doesn't he believe me?  I have a low metabolism, i dont work, and I dont do much by way of excercise. So my average body temp is not 98.6, it is lower. I have checked it every morning, it is 97.0 making 99+ a fever.  Why doesnt he believe me, or is he just trying make an easy buck?

How are you feeling during the day? Are you generally healthy then? It is normal to have really low temps in the morning. Have you checked mid day to see what your temp is running when you are feeling well? My temp in the morning is lower than yours and I can get higher temps also especially when my allergies have kicked in. My metabolism is very slow and I am cold all the time. Do you have any other symtoms than the fever you say you have? If not, this is why the doctor isn't concerned. Its your bodies way of reacting to changes. I know in the evening my allergies kick in bad. Are you getting enough uninteruppted sleep? some people can live on 6-8. Me, I need 8-10. Make a diary of what you are eating and how you are feeling at different times of the day and see if you can find a correlation between any of it. Increase your water intake and try a multivitamin. I would take extra vitamin C. I don't think it is anything serious. Sometimes we have to take care of ourselves first. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

PS: Also if you feel sick to your stomach often, get checked for H-pylori by a gastroenterologist. Easy test and you would be surprised by how many of us have it. Easy to cure!

I think you need another physician. Did he at least check your thyroid levels ?
