appedix area,

Hey all, ive written in before this time i'm very confused, the other day i got really bad pains in the right side of my abdomin (appendix region) went to the doc he said acute appendicitis after pushing around a bit and checking my testes, he booked me into my surgeon and i got down to hospital to see him he ran basically the same tests as my doc and said he isnt convinsed, did a blood test for WBC count and they were normal so he sent me home to wait it out, so im home and as u may know im a swimmer and all i want to do is train again so i have no answers as to when or if this pain will go away so i can get back in the water, im not sure if it can still be appendicitis, i no for a fact its not 1 thing he suggested and that is a muscle tear im an athlete and i know what they feel like and this is not it. any suggestions?

i have been having pains , in what i thought was my right ovary, but i found out it is my appendix. I had a laprascope done for endometriosis- the surgeon saw my appendix was starting to be erect, and couldnt get another general surgeon to take out my appendix. Anyways- that was Jan 2nd. Today is Feb 18th. I am having more pains now. Before it was like a dull ache. It felt like my ovary ( or my appendix i guess) is a golf ball. Exactly like that. Now it feels like a stabbing, jabbing feeling every so often. I have to wait for a surgeon to find time to fit me in on his cancelation list. Nice.... It makes me very mad that doctors have known about this since jan 2nd and havent done anything. I do know tylenol 3's and percasets dont make the pain go away they just help me to sleep. The pain is not horrenedious. its just god awful annoying. Or else id go to an Er- Im afraid theyll send me home though.. even with the laparascoe proof.
ugH!!!
anyone do appendectomys at home? hehe Just kidding

My son's pain actually went away and felt really good when the doctor would push on the area....that is why they kept telling him it wasn't appendics....Go figure....Maybe they just need to go inside and take a look, but then the doctors don't like it when we tell them what to do....and I do understand that..hope you find the problem....

Hi, i had my gallbladder taken out two week's ago, i'm now having more problem's. My appendix area hurt before i had surgery and i went to the ER and they said it's not that, (because i would of been screaming from him pushing on my abdomin). Anyway's now i have pain's in my lower abdomin that radiate to my groin. Dose this sound like anything to do with the appendix? - or stones in the intestines?.

Glad they caught appendix!  I was very sick when it ruptured and no tests showed any problwems prior to rupture.  I did have stomach aches for a number of yeas but don't know if that had anything to do with it.  I had appendix at 13 and gall bladder stones at 35, before they did lapr.  Gall stones are VERY painful!  I waited too long and stones passed out of gall bladder into intestines.  I was very sick then also.  I hope I have offered some info from my own experience.

Surgery is over, the surgeon said that he had a LAZY APPENDICS, not ruptured.  Now, just waiting for everything to heal...Funny no test confirmed it at all, except for the last ultrasound, which happened to catch it fill up with fluid.  They also did exploratory surgery as well, couldn't find anything else....

My son has been having pain since December 2005, He had to quit playing hockey because of it.  Every time he tried to play any kind of sports he would get the pains, even walking and climbing stairs would bring on the pain. Had ultrasound done, MRI, bone scan, blood work and everything came out NORMAL.  Had one last ultrasound last week, and they actually caught the appendics filling up with fluid, chronic appendics is what they called it.  Doctor said he could have gone years without an answer if the ultrasound hadn't of caught it.  He is having surgery tomorrow......Hopefully this is the end of the pains....

I had ruptured appendix at 13 with normal blood count.  They did surgery anyway and found the ruptured appendix.  I don't think it is common but my bloodwork was not what a Dr. would normally see with appendix.  I was very sick and they went inside even though they didn't know what they would find.
You might want another opinion and hope it doesn't rupture.

Sorry not to rude, it could be a blocked bowel (constipation) or the appendicitus.  My appendix played havoc for three years before they removed it.  It was to the point I was just about passing out.  If you get a temperature rush back to the hospital asap. Good luck!
