For the past 6 months 2 weeks before my period is due, I have a very heavy feeling in my bladder like I have bricks in it, when I get my period it goes, this month for 3 weeks I have had a very painful feeling as my bladder empties, I also have been getting shooting pains in my groin, no blood in my urine tho.

What you are having could be a part of premenstrual syndrome, where there is retention of water in the body causing heaviness in the pelvic area. There are cramps tooapart from joint and muscle pain, breast tenderness etc.

However this could also be due to chronic bladder infection that gets aggravated in the premenstrual phase. Diagnosis of an ovarian cyst too cannot be ruled out.

However it is difficult to diagnose without examining. You may also need to take some blood tests X-rays, ultrasounds, etc to reach a diagnosis. So please consult your doctor. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted.
