blurry vision

Hi, Im Brady a 25 year old male, 5'6  160 lbs.. I had a flu for 1 1/2 days on 4/16/2010..now since then I have had non- stop cloudy vision, lightheadedness, dizzy spells, minor headaches, sometimes weak feeling, and a stiff/ heavy neck... Had an MRI , a CT scan, some blood work, seen 10 doctors, indoscopie, colonoscipie, but im in a town called Merced where i feel like they wont diagnose me. I saw a Ear, Nose, Throat specialists recently..they say they see some problems in my sinuses in the CT and MRI..but he said that shouldnt make my vision cloudy.. or me dizzy... So im getting a surgery on my sinuses, But its in the back of my head that they missed something on my MRI also..so i am just looking for some hope that this may be the problem..Cause Im falling apart.. I lost my job, and im loseing the will to fight this..

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Decrease in tears, dryness of eye, conjunctivitis, palpebral edema, stye, lacrimal sac infection, eye strain, refractive errors of eye like near or far sightedness etc can all cause blurry vision. Chronic eye static may be due to the electrical activity inside our eye. This produces an image of the vitreous and retina, sometimes white spots against black or vice versa and sometimes red hues too. This is normal. Rarely this is due to inflammation. Hope you have consulted an eye specialist. Take care!

Did this ENT Specialist rule out an inner ear problem?  Do any vestibular testing?
What problem did he see with your sinuses?

In my opinion, it sounds suspicious of an inner ear problem secondary to the viral infection you had in April.

Don't blame you for wanting your life back; you are just 25.

you could easily have had an infection get into your corneas or some part of your eye that is causing those symptoms. also it could easily be an ear infection i have experienced those symptoms when i get ear infections, i get chronic ones all the time and they always turn out to be swimmers ear for some reason, even though i am not a swimmer. Those are similar symptoms to meningitis also. You don't always have to have all the symptoms of something to have it, and sometimes symptoms might not be connected at all and you could treat them separately.
