I recently got my hand crushed and broke some bones everything seemed to be going ok then 3 weeks ago i woke up and i felt a pain in my hand shorly after my hand started going numb then the rest of my body started going numb but my head is not numb it's seems that my hand was the source of it so i got a nerve damage test done and i passed. But today i woke up and the symptoms semmed to subside almost like my body is trying to adapt to it. But i do still have numbness will this go away the numbness was caused from the pressure on my hand. My hands are also cold and sweaty can anyone help me explain why my body is doing this to me.
B vitamins can heal damaged nerves, but you may need to get these by injection from a doctor, to get enough to do you any good.
I recently discovered a vitamin B1 product that has amazing healing abilities for the nerves. It's called benfothiamine. You can read about it at benfotiamine dot org.
I just bought some for my mom. She has had numbness in her legs for a couple of years. I guess we'll just have to see if this stuff works.
Hyperhydrosis can explain the sweaty hands,. I dont know if it can explain the numbness though. You should really go back to your orthopedist and let them know about the numbness in your hand. If your hand was crushed, then I would have to believe that you have some kind of nerve damage in your hand. There are medications that can help that. As for the rest of your body being numb, I am not sure. Did you have surgery on your hand? If so, how long ago? You should really see a doctor. Are you still on pain medication?
I have heard of vitamine b1 and b12 they help nerve damage my neuroologist said i can try them and see if it goes away but the thing with b12 is it's a water soluble vitamine so your body have problemes taken it in so ya injections i might have to take but i'm going to try foods for bnow like skim milk and meats i even thought of buying vitamine b1 and b12 pills. Well i hope she get's better i know how annoying this can be. just typying for me is hard. I will look into benfothiamine and see what it's benefits are.
I never heard of it but i will look into it. Ya i was thinking of the same thing but i'm going to wait 2 weeks and see if it goes away and if not i'm going to ask to go see a bone specialist. The thing is i can't figure out why the rest of my body is gone numb is there any viruses that can cause this cause a year ago i had a virus that felt like vertigo again it was undiagnosed but it did go away after a month. As for nerve damage my neurologist said everything was ok with my nerves and that the machine was pretty accurate. I din't get sergery done on my hand my bones only partly cracked so i didn't need sergery. The thing is it didn't affect me right away only 2 and a half month later, I don't take pain medications not even tylenol i do get pain sometimes but it seems to go away it's just the numbness that gets annoying
Im not sure if there are any viruses out there that can cause the symptoms. Im sure there are, but none that I can think of off of the top of my head. I would still recommend a hand surgeon. It doesnt mean you have to have surgery, but they are just more knowledgeable than family physicians. Most of them can listen to your symptoms and already know what you have, but they do a few tests to confirm their diagnosis for insurance purposes. I have had two operations on one hand and wrist. I absolutely love my hand surgeon because he saved my job by finding out what was going on with me when everyone else diagnosed me as clinically depressed. Hope you get the answers you are seeking soon. good luck and please keep us updated.
ya me too i'm going to see the same doctor who i went to see for the bones broken in my hand. and thanks to you 2 for trying to help me out and if yous ever have any question i might have the answer for just ask. it seems like the numbness isn't as intense sometimes but sometimes it is and it seems to travel to my chest and pretty much my upper body other than my head i'll keep yous posted and see what my doctor says about this.
Well my numbness is pretty much all gone now i went to see the doctor that x rayed my hand and he didn't know what it was. I still don't know what it was that made my top body go numb. But whatever it was i guess my body corrected itself but it took a long time to go away i just hope it don't come back.
