Oh dear! :( (sad face - I can never remember which way it should be!)
You will definitely not be able to use that hand for a few weeks then!
Have you had the plaster put on yet, or will you have to go back for a plaster job?
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Best wishes.
So at the ER they did an x-ray and it showed deep bone and tissue bruising and also a hairline fracture...I'm proof that u can move body parts when broken or fractured so...anyways guess I need to learn how to punch properly so not to break anything again...lol...or better yet learn to keep my cool ;) any how thanks y'all 4 the advice...means a lot to me
Let us know how you have got on.
Fingers crossed, your hand ain't broken.
Best wishes.
Thanks ppl...I'm actually gettin ready to go to the ER right now...wish me luck...lets pray that it ain't broken
If you get a boxer's fracture it means you didn't punch right. :) Only use your first two knuckles and lock your thumb with the tip of your thumb against the middle knuckle of your index finger to lock your fist tight.
You need to see an orthopedic surgeon or hand specialist.
You have severely bruised your hand and possibly by the sound of the way your little pinky is facing appears that you have some breaks in the hand.
It would be a good idea to have a xray done of your hand to make sure that there are no breaks.
In the mean time apply lots of natural yogurt to the whole hand. Yogurt is cooling and will help to draw out any inflammation and bruising. Tape the "ill" finger to the adjoining finger (you will probably need a couple of plasters). Then strap the hand and wrist to half way up your arm to support it.
If you have a triangular bandage use that to support the arm and keep it elevated by tying the ends of the tri bandage around your neck so that you have the arm in a sling.
It would be best if you do not use that hand until it is healed.
Next time you have an argument (hope never), use a cushion to punch or scream your head off (you may injure your voice though). Or get an old chipped or cracked plate and small that to the floor. Trouble is you have to sweep up the mess afterwards.
Best wishes
Sounds to me like you need to be evaluated by a doctor. Your hand might be broken. Blessings - Blu
