brown redness patch on thigh! Please Help Urgent

I'm 18 Years old and extremely stressed out. It started about 2-3years ago, i would press down on my thigh and it would feel like a bruise. Now at the start of this year ive had a red type patch on my upper right thigh. When i rub down my thigh it feels hardish, when i touch the red/brown patch only sometimes it hurts. Could it be cancer!?! i'm only 18 :S heres a photo taken of it  http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/7707/img0943z.jpg

Please HELP!!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A red non painful patch can be a bruise. Deficiency of Vitamin B12, folic acid, or Vit K could be the cause. They could also be fragile spider veins. It can be due to deep vein thrombosis (however usually there is pain on pressing). It can be a hemnagioma. Other than that Bowen’s disease can cause a red patch and this is an early form of skin cancer. Please consult a PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral to a skin specialist. Take care!
