this year i finally had a MRI showing that my lumbarBack pain - low Cerebral spinal fluid (csf) collection Herniated lumbar disk Herniated nucleus pulposus Lumbar puncture (spinal tap) Lumbar spinal surgery - series Lumbar vertebrae Spinal surgery - lumbar Vertebra, lumbar (low back) spine is normal. but i have constant burning pain in my left buttocks and weakness in my left leg.i cant balance well because when i put weight on my left leg, my ankle and the back of the knee would hurt. when i also stretch my left leg in yoga (i practice yoga), my whole left leg would feel very sore the entire day, also the burning pain in my left buttock would come back. during my check-up with my neuorologist, she mentioned that my left leg is hyper-reflexive. i dont feel numbness, but every time my left leg is pricked, the sensation is twice clearer or something. im 29, female, and have been an athlete since childhood (swimmer and basketball player) im also a dancer. but now, i cant be active since pain has been unmanageable sometimes. i cant even wear shoes with heels. to relieve burning pain my left butt, i use a heat pad.
i need your help in terms of which doctor or specialist to go to, what tests should i take and so on.
i've been to a lot of doctors in my country and nobody knows what i have. thanks for the help.
HI,
I recently had pain in my left buttock, leg, but primarily buttock. It is due probably to a change in gait or alignment.
Mine came about after foot surgery, when my gait changed to handle the injured foot. I received a trigger point injection from my primary docter into the buttock at pain site. It did help, but took 2 of them and my foot to heal to finally have it go away.
Good luck, and check your gait or talk to a physical therapist even.
The only thing I can think of would be to ask your physician about spinal stenosis.
