Ive been working out for about half a year now and this month i have pushed myself even harder. But after yesterdays workout i started to have chest pains after i would lift weights and do dips and pull ups. Is this normal and part of my body adjusting to it?
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
After an intense workout, the pain could be due to muscle pull, costochondritis getting flared up or due to excess lactic acid accumulation in muscles. However it could also be something more serious like a heart under strain.\
If you want to step up your exercise level, first get a complete physical done. If you do not have any problem, then gradually step up the exercise level over 2-3 weeks.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
