sounds like flu symptoms. rest is important when you have a cold. as well as drinking fluids.  Mucinex can help unthicken the mucus. if there is an ear ache ther is usually an ear infection. Get the Doc to give you some antibiotics.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You have probably a bad attack of viral fever. A PCP needs to examine and see whether you have swollen tonsils, redness at the back of the throat, post nasal drip etc. Pharyngitis, tonsillitis or basically an upper respiratory infection can be due to several pathogens. You should consult your doctor for antibiotics.  Meanwhile you can take an OTC anti-inflammatory and do warm saline gargles 2-3 times a day. Drinking warm lemonade, hot clear soups and herbal tea may soothe the throat considerably. Do a valsalva maneuver (Done by taking a deep breath and blowing while pinching your nostrils and closing your mouth) to relieve pressure from internal ear and blocked Eustachian tube (tube connecting ear to throat). Relieving this pressure may relieve some symptoms. Take care!
