try an allergy pill (loratadine) 5mg that helped with my son But before you start doing it ask your doctor first hope it helps Let me know
no way, we do not smoke... and she has been tested for allergies, and all was negative.. neither my husband nor i have allergies either..
i found out today that my friends daughter--6 is going thru the same thing again and has shad the same history.. and all of the drs have said the same thing to her, -- they just put her on asthma meds.. which did not help, and kept putting her on more and more until she was on as much as her mother was on--- a 60 yr old adult!....she finally took her off of them, and she did all right over the summer, but as ou said, it has gotten worse.... this friends daughter coughs at night so badly that she has started throwing up.. and he stomach muscles ache in the morning...
we are both frustrated and scared for our kids!!!!! they both have the same symptoms and history... and usually go all day even outside and in ballet together w/o a cough.. but at night, it is non stop and becomes fluid like..
as for the dr saying not to worry-- we have been there and this time we will follow the drs orders and wait 2 weeks but we told her, that is it.. we are not going back to the almost death -- that happened to her before.. but unfortunately all of my friends in this boat, are getting the same --deer in the headlights-- explanation!
my friend who is a 2nd grade teacher says that there is not one healthy child in her class -- and she blames the vaccines that our kids are given.. i am starting to believe her!!! she has some wicked hard facts.. but what to do now and where to go now!! ????
I've been there and done that. These kids cough at night because when they lay down their chest/lungs are effected by gravity differently than when they are up and about. If my doctor thought allergies and sinus was NOTHING, I would be looking for a new doctor. Allergy kids have many issues. You might see if her doctor will give her an inhaler with a spacer that she can use just prior to bedtime when allergy season is worst (Spring when the blooms are on the trees and Fall when the leaves fall off the trees and get wet and moldy). Has she been tested for all the allergies? It's not a bad thing to do esp at age 5. Once we knew what my son was allergic to that helped us a lot. I hope nobody in the home is a smoker. CIGARETTE SMOKE is deadly to allergy kids!
Hope I have helped.
