constant nausea sufferer

Why , oh why, do i always feel nauseated? I do get nauseated very easily but usually goes away in a day. This Started about 8 days ago ,and cant seem to shake it.vomited seven times the first day. I take phinergan when it is really bad and that usually helps. But, not in the past 8 days.Just makes me sleepy(which is a godsend when feeling so rotten all the time).I have taken a pregnancy test and is negative. should i be concerned that it is something more serious?

Another cause of nausea can be a gallstone(s), so you might try to get a scan of your gallbladder too.  Stress can cause nausea as well.  With that much throwing up, it is highly likely you DO have an electrolyte imbalance at this point, even if you didn't start out with one, so I'd ask a doctor to check to check these.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Commonest cause of nausea is acidity. Take omeprazole and antacid gel and see if it helps. Liver and kidney dysfunction is another cause. Hence kidney and liver function tests should be done. Other causes are diabetes and hypothyroidism. Electrolyte imbalance too can cause nausea. Please discuss this with your GP or PCP.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
