Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you have missed your periods and are having cramps then take a pregnancy test immediately. Cramps could be due to abortion. Ectopic pregnancy can also cause cramps and in this case at times the pregnancy test is negative. Please consult a gynecologist ASAP and get an ultrasound done. If you have not missed your periods and are having cramps in between cycle then this could be due to ovulation. GI problems like IBS too causes cramps.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
yes Su_Polliita- myfriend had cramps like she was about to start to her period but she was in fact pregnant- are you hoping that you are pregnant?
it depends are where the cramps are to what it could be but no it is not a symptom of pregnancy.
I would think if you were pregnant, really bad cramps would be something you would want to hurry into the ER about, since I wonder about miscarriage possibility!
