I agree with the rheumatology consult. An elevated ANA level can be due to a variety of causes, including lupus, rheumatoid arthritis. A viral illness may increase the levels transiently.
Chronic fatigue in a 16-year old should be investigated for mononucleosis, which can be diagnosed with blood tests.
Stress and/or nerves likely will not affect the ANA level.
