extreme soreness between toes

I took my socks off today after work and immediately noticed an extreme pain between 2 of my toes. I looked but there is no open cuts or sores, it dosent even appear to be red. I took a shower and still the pain persist. It is even uncomfortable to walk. wiggling them causes some soreness but touching or even walking is too painful. I didnt feel anything wrong all day at work or even when i got home, only after i took my socks off. Any idea what this could be or how i can get rid of it?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The pain could be due to muscles remaining cramped for too long. Nerve impingement is another possibility. If you need to wear shoes for long hours and have recently changed the foot wear then this could be due to faulty foot wear. Soak your feet in warm water and see if it helps. Otherwise it can also be beginning of shingles or even fungal infection.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination. Take care!

Well, for now, just take a pain killer. See if the problem persist and if so then consult a doctor. Thanks. Normal pain arise after long hours of muscle strain.
