im a sixteen year old girl who's been having fainting spells for no reason for about three years
have had heaps of tests EEGs ECGs ultrasounds blood tests you name it ive probaly had it my doctors given up finding out what it is. it's so frustrating i cant go out on my own because i have 3 to 12 faints a day. doctors tryed putting it down to stress but i dont think it has. i just want my life back. i recently left school because i was told i was a health and saftey risk. had a hard time trying to get on a hairdressing couurse because of my fainting. please does this happen to anyone else? also have just recently found a golf ball sized hard lump in neck any ideas whether this is related ? dont want to go to the doctors if its just something little (i mean about the lump) its not a swollen gland.
sounds more like un diagnosed heart issue,,or narcalepsy..aka sleeping disorder.
theres not realy a whole lot that would cause this issue,id do some online research and look up key words like "constant fainting" or causes for such things.
possibly see a cardio specialist or neuro doc.
good luck hun.
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since you have a lump in your neck rule out abnormal thyroid state as a cause of your fainting. It could also be hypoglycemia. It could also be postural hypotension, syncopal attack, anemia, diabetes, inner ear problems. You should get a endocrine specialist to look at the function of your endocrine glands and rule out anemia.
Hope this helps. Take care!
