frequent sharp pains in the back of head

Hi I am 18 years old and a new member of medhelp. For a few months now I have been getting a sharp pain in one specific spot in the back of my head. It only lasts about five to ten secends but happens a few times every hour. In addition to this I get ocassional tingling in my hands and feet. I have seen various doctors and had many tests such as a ct scan and blood tests. They also looked inside my eyes to see if there's any increased pressure and they did other tests to check my balance and muscles to rule out brain tumours. All the tests came back normal and the doctors say it might be stress or anxiety, but i'm  not too sure. can it really be from stress if it's been lasting for almost two months and happens almost everyday? I not sure if I should maybe see another doctor.

thank you a lot for your information. I think you might be right, since I do use the computer quite a bit. I am also fairly tall and most people tell me I have poor posture. In order to see any kind of specialist I need referal from my family doctor and i have an appointment with him on monday. This is because there are very few specialists in my city and wait times are ussually fairly long. Hopefully I will get some anwsers soon.

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!
There is a chance that you have compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis etc. Please consult an orthopedic specialist or a neurologist.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
