gasping problem

I have been on the cpap for nearly three years. Last September I started having a gasping problem. I have had all kinds of test and nothing is showing up and I am still gasping all the time. It is not nerves, as could be sitting watching TV crocheting and it will happen. I am very frustrated. My next step I guess is to back to the Dr. that ordered the cpap. I can't imagine after being on it for so long that I would start gasping because of it????

I hope someone can help me with this problem.
