headache, chest discomfort, nausea ovarian cyst

I have having unexplained headaches for about 2 years now, in the past month they have gotten much worse. I have thought maybe wheat gluten allergy or stress or ocular strain as my eyes are arent great and I am on the comp a lot. My chest always hurt and my heart rate elavates when I move suddenly or get awakened in the middle of the night. The pain is more towards my left side. It always feels strained or something like that. I have nausea very badly since I have been told I have an ovarian cyst in my right ovary at the beginnnig of april. But I have the chills and my face feels hot for no reason. I had a blood test and my wbc was slightly low, doctors didnt seem too concerned at 3.8. What could be going on, docs wont seem to help past a cbc?? Strangely my boyfriend has developed severe headaches and nausea as well over the past week? what could this be??

Okay, here comes the detective bit.  Has your boyfriend just in the last week or so moved in with you or spent more time at home?  Do you use gas appliances in the home?  Is there any chance there could be raised carbon monoxide levels in your place?  If so, turn off your gas, immediately, and get to the hospital.

Assuming you just have checked that all out and all is fine and I go back to not pretending to be Sherlock Holmes, obviously other issues need to be thought of.  Headaches can be from hormonal changes which may be related to your cyst, but of course that doesn't explain your boyfriends symptoms, unless he has a 'sympathetic' headache.  I just wonder what type of blood tests you've had.  Have you had your hormone levels checked?  Are you pre-menopausal?  Get these checked, at least at each point you are crossing one cause or another off the list until you find the answer.

To summarize, get a carbon monoxide detector, get a good gynaecologist and the right bloodwork done, and finally I'd be interested to hear the right finding, if you get that far.  Wish you both well.
